Women’s Club Fitting
BUILT FOR YOUR SWING—NOT YOUR GENDER
Most women’s golf equipment is designed around a lazy assumption: make the club shorter, lighter and softer, change the colour, and slap a “Ladies” label on it.
For some golfers, a lighter and more flexible build may be exactly right. For many others, it isn’t. There is no reason a woman cannot perform best with equipment marketed for men and no reason she should be restricted to a narrow range of heads, shafts, grips or cosmetic options before the fitting has even begun.
At LP Golf, we fit the golfer.
YOUR SWING DOESN’T COME WITH A LABEL
Gender tells us nothing about the correct club length, total weight, swing weight, shaft flex, shaft profile, grip size, lie angle or sole design for a golfer.
Two women of a similar height and ability can deliver the club in completely different ways. Equally, a woman and a man may produce similar delivery patterns and require very similar equipment.
The label on the club is irrelevant. What matters is whether its specifications help you find the centre of the face, more often.
THE PROBLEM WITH OFF-THE-RACK WOMEN’S CLUBS
Many packaged women’s sets offer very few meaningful choices. They are commonly built around a single assumed player profile, with lighter heads, shorter lengths, soft shafts and limited grip options applied across the entire range.
In some cases, the difference between the women’s and men’s model is little more than a paint job. At the other end of the market, inexpensive package sets can suffer from inconsistent specifications and components that leave little room for proper adjustment.
That does not make all women’s equipment unsuitable. It simply means the word “women’s” is not a fitting - and buying from that category should not replace properly testing what works.
A FITTING WITHOUT PRECONCEPTIONS
Every LP Golf fitting begins by understanding you, your game and the clubs you currently play.
We create a detailed blueprint of your existing equipment, recording specifications such as playing length, loft, lie angle, shaft frequency, swing weight and total weight. We then establish a performance baseline using Foresight QuadMAX to collect club and ball data.
From there, we test the variables that influence how you deliver the club. Wherever practical, testing is conducted blind so that brand names, traditional flex labels, price points and ideas about what you “should” play do not influence the outcome.
You might fit into a lightweight build traditionally marketed to women. You might perform better with a heavier shaft, a firmer profile or a completely conventional “men’s” specification. Most likely, your best fit will be a combination that belongs specifically to you.
MORE THAN A SET OF NEW CLUBS
Once we understand what works, we write you a prescription - a complete list of specs based on the way you strike the ball.
That does not automatically mean purchasing a new set. We may be able to adjust or rebuild the clubs you already own. We can also create a new custom build, supply Foreward clubs purpose-built around your prescription, or source a suitable second-hand set and rebuild it correctly.
Your fitting data, recommendations and specifications are yours, and there is no obligation to purchase equipment from LP Golf.
A COMFORTABLE PLACE TO ASK QUESTIONS
Golf equipment can be unnecessarily intimidating—particularly when advice is delivered with assumptions, jargon or judgement.
LP Golf offers a relaxed, respectful fitting environment where you can ask questions, take your time and be honest about what you do and do not understand. You do not need a low handicap, a textbook swing or detailed equipment knowledge to be taken seriously.
Fittings are personal, collaborative and focused entirely on helping you make informed decisions about your game. There is no pressure to perform, no judgement about your ability and no expectation that you should already know what you need.
JUST CLUBS THAT FIT
Women do not need to be funnelled towards a smaller corner of the equipment market. They deserve the same access to proper testing, quality components and precisely built golf clubs as every other player.
No stereotypes. No predetermined category. No “pink it and shrink it.”
Just equipment built to fit.
